The Brooklyn Nets have signed Adonis Thomas to their training camp roster, the team announced today. Thomas, a 6’6″ forward, joins the Nets less than 24 hours after the team waived Gary Forbes, another 6’7″ forward.
Thomas averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in his sophomore season at the University of Memphis, regressing in numerous areas from his freshman year, but declared for the draft anyway. He went undrafted, and signed with the Atlanta Hawks training camp roster on September 24th. He appeared in one game with the Hawks and was waived on Monday, October 14th.
Thomas brings the team’s training camp roster to 18 players: the team’s fifteen guaranteed contracts, along with Jorge Gutierrez and Chris Johnson.
