2002-03 Playoff Stats: 6 G, 0 GS, 0.5 PPG, 0.0 RPG, 0.0 APG, 0.0 SPB, 0.0 BPG, .250 FG%, 1.000 3P%, -9.9 PER

The ultimate project, Tamar Slay spent two years with the Nets after being taken in the second round of the 2002 Draft. Slay played one minute in the 2003 NBA Finals and a total of 23 playoff minutes in two seasons with the Nets. In June of 2004, the Charlotte Bobcats selected Slay in the Expansion Draft, the same draft that would bring Gerald Wallace to the Bobcats.

Slay would play eight games in the Bobcats' inaugural season before going on a jet-setting tour of international basketball. Starting in Jerusalem in 2005, Tamar has played for seven teams in three countries (Israel, US, Italy), including a 2007 stop in the D-League for the Bakersfield Jam.  Slay currently plays for Sutor Montegranaro of the Italian Serie A.

I was a HUGE Nets fan in the 70′s when they played at the Coliseum. I was fortunate enough to attend the final ABA game when they beat the Nuggets for the last ABA title. I’m so glad they’re in Brooklyn and cannot wait for the Isles to join them!!!

Believe Renaldo Balkman was drafted by genius Isiaih Thomas( not Nets)

Right you are. The Knicks drafted Balkman, but the pick came from The Raptors, who got it from the Nets (in the VC trade), who got it from Denver in the Kenyon Martin trade (as the article says).
