Twelve days after Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo permanently removed Humphries from the rotation after a loss to the Bulls on March 2nd, Fred Kerber of the New York Posttweets that Carlesimo wants to bring Humphries back into the fold “sooner rather than later.”

Carlesimo booted the 6’9″ forward out of the rotation two weeks ago in an effort to reduce the pool from 11 to 10 players and give Bosnian sharp shooter Mirza Teletovic more consistent playing time. Humphries last played against Chicago on 3/2, logging two minutes, putting up 0 points and grabbing 0 boards. In the five games since he has been glued to the bench, the Nets have gone 4-1, with three wins coming against sub-.500 competition.

Reggie Evans continues to be an offensive liability, posting double-digit points for only the third time this season in an 11-point effort against Washington on March 8th. Teletovic has underwhelmed in his five game tryout, going 6-24 (25%) from the field in the five games.

The return to favor with Carleismo isn’t the only good news Humphries received recently. Life and Style magazine obtained deposition testimony from “Keeping up With the Kardashians” producer Russel Jay in which he admits that scenes negatively depicting Kris on the show were either edited or re-shot. Humphries is battling ex-wife Kim Kardashian in California court to get their 72-day marriage annulled, thus annulling the pre-nup, on grounds that the marriage was a publicity stunt. Whoop-de-damn-doo.
