The Nets will face off against one of the league’s top low post scorers with a depleted frontcourt tonight. Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett (rest) will join Mirza Teletovic (hip pointer) and center Brook Lopez (lower back strain) on the team’s inactive list against the Charlotte Hornets in Charlotte.

Cory Jefferson will start in Garnett’s stead next to Mason Plumlee, who is starting for Lopez, after Jefferson played a career-high 28 minutes Friday night.

The Hornets are a tough matchup inside: they employ center Al Jefferson, who has averaged 19.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in his team’s first 22 games. But they’ve struggled to develop team continuity, stumbling out to a 6-16 start and ranking near the bottom of the NBA in offensive output.

The Nets will also have Jarrett Jack in the game, who will play despite a definite lack of sleep after flying to Georgia to attend his college graduation.
