Deron’s “a grownup, he’ll figure it out,” says Kidd: Shootaround

Some Nets news & notes from around the web:

  • Jason Kidd on Deron Williams' struggles: "I think it’s just a matter of getting comfortable making shots. Also, he has new teammates. He’s got to get used to a new crew. It’s always a growing period. He’s a grownup. He’ll figure it out."

  • Story about Atlantic Yards modular housing, trying to figure out a way this analogy could get any weirder. (Thinks.) ... Nope.

  • Barclays Center will host a community holiday party tomorrow (Saturday) from 11:30 A.M.-1:30 P.M. for 100 children, ages 13 and under, from Brooklyn Tabernacle, Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation, and Put the Guns Down Foundation. The party will be held in the 40-40 Club at Barclays.
  • The Brooklyn Nets visited the Bed-Stuy YMCA (my local Y, incidentally!) for the Brooklyn Fit program. Check out pictures & video here.

The fact that this D Will issue is becoming a soap opera is proof of the big difference between playing in NJ and playing in NY. In NJ no one cared much about the Nets; in NY they care too much, hence the December panic. Fire this guy, trade this guy, execute this guy, put this other guy up for adoption.
