Happy Thoughts: Vintage Deron Williams vs. 76ers (VIDEO)

Monday night’s 106-97 Brooklyn Nets loss at the hand of the Philadelphia 76ers was bad. A team in utter freefall scored in seemingly every which way against a porous Nets defense, even hitting the shots they probably weren’t supposed to hit. It was just one of those nights for everyone for Brooklyn…

…except Deron Williams. For another game since the All-Star Break, Deron Williams again looked like the superstar point guard the Nets traded for, attacking the rim with purpose, hitting open three-pointers, finding teammates for open looks, and even pulling down six rebounds in the loss. Here’s a video of four of his best drives to the basket:

Shame that one of D-Will’s best all-around efforts came in a loss, but also encouraging to see these all-around efforts more often. All that’s left now is to see him dunk.
