Brooklyn Nets injury report, 10.14.2013

The Brooklyn Nets are in Philadelphia tonight to take on the Philadelphia 76ers in the third game of the #WeTalkinBoutPreseason tour, and seven of the team’s players (six guaranteed) will sit out.

Deron Williams, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry, Andrei Kirilenko, Tyshawn Taylor, Tornike Shengelia, and Jorge Gutierrez will all sit for the Nets tonight. Pierce is on a scheduled rest day, while the rest are dealing with various injuries. Williams, Taylor, and Gutierrez are resting sprained ankles, Shengelia and Terry are both dealing with knee issues from offseason surgery, and Andrei Kirilenko is dealing with back spasms.

None of the injuries are expected to be long-term issues, though Kidd opened a small window of possibility that Williams will miss the beginning of the season. (Barring a setback, he won’t.)

Shaun Livingston and Alan Anderson will start in place of Williams and Pierce. The rest of the team is active.
