In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Brook Lopez participated in a popular segment called Phone Booth, in which he avoided tarantulas, giant beards, and Miley Cyrus but fell in the game’s final winner-take-all round.
Lopez, who sported the Nets’ new remix uniform, was forced to squeeze into a phone booth with Fallon after the host could not name two of the four ingredients in a pumpkin spice latte. In the next round, Fallon was asked how many zeroes there were in a trillion and the former Saturday Night Live jokester immediately turned to Lopez:
“Well, you went to Stanford . . . you went to a good school!”
The Nets’ center quickly tried to count the tally on his fingers, but suggested that the answer was either eleven or fourteen — the actual solution is, of course, twelve.
The Nets’ first preseason game is against the Detroit Pistons on October 6th.
