Devin KharpertianBrook Lopez went through non-contact parts of practice today with the team and is pain-free, but will sit out again Sunday vs. the Milwaukee Bucks, the Brooklyn Nets announced today. Lopez has been listed as day-to-day since incurring the injury, classified a mild right foot sprain, on November 28th against the Boston Celtics.
The fact that Lopez is pain-free is encouraging, and the Nets would certainly like him fully healthy by Tuesday when they face the Manhattan/New York Knicks again, so resting him tomorrow doesn't come as a surprise.
Andray Blatche will start in his place tomorrow night.

I get that this is acting with an abundance of caution, and I’m not saying it’s the wrong move, but it can’t help but worry me when it was originally supposed to be a game or two. I hate teams hedging on injuries and this feels like that a little.

Well said. Especially in light of Bogut’s don’t-trust-what-they-say comments a few weeks ago.

Man, I’m really rooting for Teletovic to show something. I know it takes euro guys a little while to adjust but even open three he’s clanging. It’s the same hoop in Europe.
