Happy Sunday, Nets fans. Here’s the latest Nets news and notes from around the ‘Nets:

  • Mike Vaccaro of the New York Post takes his annual whack at New York Sports Christmas Carols… but leaves out the Nets. Might we suggest, to the tune of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”: We wish that you had a draft-pick / We wish that you had a draft-pick / We wish that you had a draft-pick / Be-fore 20-19. // Good thing you have cap space / in free ag-en-cy. / But we wish that you had a draft-pick / Be-fore 20-19.

  • With Kentucky basketball making its way to Barclays Center for the CBS Sports Classic, ESPN’s Mike Mazzeo looks at the close-knit, long relationship between Nets CEO Brett Yormark and Kentucky head coach/former Nets coach John Calipari. With speculation about Lionel Hollins’s heated seat already running rampant, a long article about these two surely lights a couple more matches.

  • Speaking of, I have a general rule adopted from Jeff Van Gundy: I don’t personally speculate on jobs that aren’t open. A coach is a coach until, well, he’s not a coach anymore. But if you want something speculating on the future of the Nets, and what changes might be forthcoming, NetsDaily’s got it for you.

  • Shane Larkin (concussion) and Sergey Karasev (ankle) are both out against the Timberwolves. Thomas Robinson, who missed Friday night’s game with an illness, is expected to play.
  • Also at Barclays Center during the CBS Sports Classic: UNC upsetting UCLA, and Wayne Ellington celebrating with his alma mater.

  • Here’s today’s shocker: Brook Lopez wants a part in Star Wars 8.
